Mauger and Leicester Ready To Go!!

Aaron Mauger the Leicester and former All Black centre is back to full fitness and is confident that his Tigers side has what it takes to grab the domestic and European 'double' that narrowly eluded them last season.

The 28-year-old No.12 was understandably disappointed at having missed the final third of last season and Leicester's title charge, which ended with a Guiness Premiership crown and a Heineken Cup Final loss to Leinster.

Mauger, though, is convinced that the Tigers squad has what it takes to go one better in 2009/10.

"We have definitely got the squad to go all the way in the Premiership and the Heineken Cup," he told the Leicester Mercury.

"I am hoping it works out as well as it did last year, but that we have the extra success of winning the Heineken Cup as well this time," he said, "We always try to go out and win every competition that we enter!"
